I'm really sad to hear this news. I've read both his books, CoC in Dutch and after that SoCF in English. I'm glad I thanked him by e-mail a few months ago. I received a lovely reply back, which I really appreciated. My prayers are with him and Cynthia. He will life on forever thanks to his fantastic books and courage.

Change in distribution of Kool-aid issue of WT, get them like your KMs from your Service Groups Overseer
by cattails innot only is there a change in the way the magazines for field service are distributed to publishers.. there's news of a change in distribution of the study issue of the wt.
from now on a publisher will.
get them like they get their kms, that is by having their service groups overseer hand deliver them.. another way to exercise control for control's sake and make the sgos busier and feeling more and.

All Aircraft grounded in the UK, France, Holland and Denmark
by llbh inbecause of a large plume of dust being blown to the uk by a volcanic eruption in iceland all aircraft in the uk and beyond have been grounded, no airplanes are flying at all, they will not be flying till tommorow at the earliest , and then maybe not.
apparently the dust can cause engines to stall, which has happened before.. heathrow is the busiest international airport in the world, and second busiest overall, the dislocation of passengers all over the world is massive.. .

When Did You KNOW?
by Cthulhu ini and another semi former witless (he's inactive and doesn't actually believe any of the bs) were having a conversation over some beer last night and watchtower land came up into discussion.
i told him that at some point, long before i actually stopped being physically present at the meetings i just knew that i wouldn't be a dub forever.
i remember the fact that i did not even want to admit this to myself and i spent a long long time denying the thought and trying to reestablish "the truth" in my mind.

When I heard the comments at the meeting on the KM Questions-box of 9/7 about 'Does “the faithful and discreet slave” endorse independent groups of Witnesses who meet together to engage in Scriptural research or debate?—Matt. 24:45, 47'...
I heard the comments and thought 'these people must be brainwashed!'. Even bro/sis who I considered as quite intelligent people answered as complete zombies! It was shocking... From that time on, I started to search on the internet. And I think that I refound my friendship with God and Jesus last year. It took me 1 year before I could pray again after that evening.
This is the Question-box I am talking about, by the way:
"Does “the faithful and discreet slave” endorse independent groups of Witnesses who meet together to engage in Scriptural research or debate?—Matt. 24:45, 47.No, it does not. And yet, in various parts of the world, a few associates of our organization have formed groups to do independent research on Bible-related subjects. Some have pursued an independent group study of Biblical Hebrew and Greek so as to analyze the accuracy of the New World Translation. Others explore scientific subjects related to the Bible. They have created Web sites and chat rooms for the purpose of exchanging and debating their views. They have also held conferences and produced publications to present their findings and to supplement what is provided at our Christian meetings and through our literature.
Throughout the earth, Jehovah’s people are receiving ample spiritual instruction and encouragement at congregation meetings, assemblies, and conventions, as well as through the publications of Jehovah’s organization. Under the guidance of his holy spirit and on the basis of his Word of truth, Jehovah provides what is needed so that all of God’s people may be “fitly united in the same mind and in the same line of thought” and remain “stabilized in the faith.” (1 Cor. 1:10; Col. 2:6, 7) Surely we are grateful for Jehovah’s spiritual provisions in these last days. Thus, “the faithful and discreet slave” does not endorse any literature, meetings, or Web sites that are not produced or organized under its oversight.—Matt. 24:45-47.
It is commendable for individuals to want to use their thinking ability in support of the good news. However, no personal pursuit should detract from what Jesus Christ is accomplishing through his congregation on earth today. In the first century, the apostle Paul warned about getting involved in exhausting, time-consuming subjects, such as “genealogies, which end up in nothing, but which furnish questions for research rather than a dispensing of anything by God in connection with faith.” (1 Tim. 1:3-7) All Christians should strive to “shun foolish questionings and genealogies and strife and fights over the Law, for they are unprofitable and futile.”—Titus 3:9.
For those who wish to do extra Bible study and research, we recommend that they explore Insight on the Scriptures, “All Scripture Is Inspired of God and Beneficial,” and our other publications, such as those that discuss the prophecies found in the Bible books of Daniel, Isaiah, and Revelation. These provide abundant material for Bible study and meditation, whereby we can be “filled with the accurate knowledge of [God’s] will in all wisdom and spiritual comprehension, in order to walk worthily of Jehovah to the end of fully pleasing him as [we] go on bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the accurate knowledge of God.”—Col. 1:9, 10."

The new songs sang at the Memorial
by undercover ingot a new song book at the memorial last night.
was kinda excited about the new songs...at least at first...especially when i realized that the songs that i was going to have to stand through were only two stanzas/verses/thingies/whatever long instead of 4.... that is...until they started playing and singing them.. wow...were they terrible.
i'm not a musician but i know a well crafted song when i hear one...and i didn't hear any last night...until i got back in my car anyway.. god did those songs suck.

I thought that the first one was the worst song I've ever heard! I just wanted to hang myself after that... sooo depressing!
My mum and dad were singing the old one in the car on the way home... Can't beat the old songs out of the elderly I'm afraid.
What if they would change the songs in Church? I think they would start a fight. JW's have another reason to organise an activity where there is a guitar involved, bad quality songs and lemonade in paper cups.

I have been to a lot of concerts and festivals as well... Very hard to decide wich concert was the best ever! The most fun are always Franz Ferdinand, I must say... (and wouldn't kick Alex Kapranos out of my bed as well! ;))
And saw Eagles of Death Metal last year who were fantastic! Saw them at a festival a few years ago where Josh Homme of the QOTSA was the drummer for the occassion, which was great! I am going to Rockwerchter in Belgium this year, where Them Crooked Vulture are playing and I'm very curious about this project between John Paul Jones, Homme and Grohl! The line-up is almost complete and I'm looking forward to Editors (looove his voice) and Muse, but also Pearl Jam on the Sunday. It's going to be great!!
